To help you in your quest for the best wedding photographer, here are the key questions brides and grooms ask, along with my answers.

Q.   Who will be taking the pictures?

A.   I will, of course! There will be no others photographers present.

Q.   Do you have an assistant?

A.   Yes, we bring a highly experienced assistant when we have multiple weddings on weekends.

Q.   What kind of camera do you use?

A.   A wide variety of professional cameras and lenses.

Q.   Where do you get the pictures developed?

A.   We process our photos in Professional Photography Laboratories. They have their skill, I have mine.

Q.   You are not going to take all "posed" pictures, are you?

A.   We don't take any more posed pictures than are necessary. The pictures of the bride, bride and groom, families and wedding party are posed. The rest of the day is candid.

Q.   Will you take a lot of candid pictures?

A.   The majority of your wedding photos will be candid shots.

Q.   Do you do photojournalism?

A.   My approach is similar to photojournalism. I find wedding photographs using a straight photojournalistic approach can have a cold, detached look and feel. My photos convey warmth and life. "Candid" is the better term.

Q.   Do you take "Black and White" pictures?

A.   Of course we take black and white photos!

Q.   Will I have to miss my cocktail hour?

A.   Only if you want to! There is no need to pull you out of your cocktail hour or reception. If you plan your ceremony and reception times accordingly and leave enough time to take pictures of the families, bridal party and yourselves, why should you miss anything? We never bother you during the reception unless you have a request for pictures. At the reception we take our candids!

Q.   How long before I get my proofs, and can I keep them?

A.   Your images will be ready for viewing in two weeks. Once you choose your proofs they will arrive within a few weeks and they are yours to keep. You paid for them.

Q.   How long does it take to get my finished album?

A.   Once we finalize the album design, you will receive your finished album in two to three months.

Q.   What do you wear?

A.   We wear well-tailored dark suits or attire appropriate to the tone of your affair.
